The role contributes to clinical leadership, service development, and multidisciplinary collaboration within pediatric emergency medicine.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive emergency assessment and management for pediatric patients with acute medical, surgical, and trauma conditions
  • Lead pediatric resuscitation efforts including airway management and life-saving interventions
  • Perform emergency procedures such as lumbar puncture, fracture reduction, wound repair, and procedural sedation
  • Manage critical cases including respiratory distress, seizures, infections, and allergic reactions
  • Coordinate care with pediatric specialists, surgeons, and intensive care teams
  • Ensure safe patient flow and efficient emergency department operations
  • Contribute to development of clinical guidelines, pathways, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, audits, and case reviews
  • Mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff
  • Communicate effectively with families, providing clear and compassionate guidance
  • Engage in teaching, research, and professional development programs
Ideal Profile
  • Medical degree from a recognized institution
  • Board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or equivalent specialization
  • 8-10 years of post-specialization experience including consultant-level practice
  • Eligibility for DOH or HAAD consultant licensure
  • Strong expertise in pediatric resuscitation, trauma, and emergency care
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
