- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and rectify faults in navigation, communication, and flight control systems using approved technical data.
- Carry out system testing, calibration, and functional checks using specialist tools and test equipment.
- Install, configure, and integrate avionics modifications, upgrades, and service bulletins.
- Certification & Compliance
- Certify work performed in accordance with Part-66/Part-145 (or relevant local aviation authority) requirements.
- Ensure all tasks comply with manufacturers' manuals, company procedures, and aviation regulatory standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records, worksheets, and technical logs.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Support quality audits and ensure compliance with Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Report defects, incidents, and non-conformities through proper channels.
- Assist in diagnosing complex technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
- Work closely with B1 engineers, planners, supervisors, and flight operations teams.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentice or junior technicians.
- Line maintenance (airside) or base maintenance (hangar).
- Shift-based work, often including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Physically demanding tasks requiring working at height, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions (for line operations).
- EASA/CAA Part-66 B2 License (or equivalent FAA/other authority certification).
- Type ratings on specific aircraft (e.g., A320, B737, A330, business jets, helicopters, etc.) - desirable or required depending on employer.
- Completed recognized aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
- Several years of relevant maintenance experience (line or base).
- Eligibility to work and sign certificates for an approved maintenance organization (AMO/MRO).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Competence in using avionics test equipment (e.g., multimeters, BITE tools, oscilloscopes).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail with strong safety awareness.
