- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Food Technology, covering areas such as food science, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
- Support students in developing their understanding of sustainable food practices, food production, and health and safety regulations.
- Foster a creative and hands-on learning environment where students are encouraged to experiment and innovate in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a well-rounded and cohesive curriculum that aligns with the school’s values and educational goals.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, providing regular updates on student progress and achievements.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to food technology, such as cooking clubs or food-related events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or a related subject.
- PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching GCSE Food Technology with a strong record of student achievement.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching both in and outside the classroom.
- Strong IT and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
