This role is responsible for overseeing operations and maintenance activities across parks and infrastructure facilities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and service quality. The Resident Engineer acts as the technical authority coordinating between contractors, municipal entities, and project teams to maintain performance standards and resolve operational challenges.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with municipal standards and operational guidelines across assigned regions
- Review and approve contractor submissions, reports, and technical documentation
- Monitor daily site activities including manpower, equipment, and progress tracking
- Prepare structured performance reports on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Track KPIs and validate reporting dashboards for accuracy
- Lead audits and verify documentation for compliance and quality assurance
- Approve work completion and closure documentation with supporting evidence
- Identify and escalate technical issues, delays, and safety risks
- Coordinate with municipal departments and stakeholders for operational alignment
- Review and approve asset updates and system records
- Provide guidance to contractors on procedures, schedules, and technical requirements
- Evaluate work methods, staffing, and productivity for efficiency improvements
- Witness testing and commissioning of infrastructure systems where required
- Review billing submissions and validate completed work for payment recommendations
- Support claims evaluation and analyze delays impacting contract delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with strong operations and maintenance experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure O and M projects
- Proven experience supervising parks and public infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi
- Strong understanding of engineering processes and maintenance practices
- Fluency in English and Arabic with strong reporting and communication skills
- Ability to manage contractor performance and resolve technical issues
- Registered engineer or equivalent certification is preferred
