- Oversee and contribute to the planning, writing, and editing of content for digital, social, print and events on Hotelier Middle East and Caterer Middle East.
- Produce content that contributes to audience and subscriber growth across Hotelier and Caterer digital and social platforms.
- Identity new approaches and develop original, engaging stories. Monitor industry trends and audience interests to identify opportunities to expand reach.
- Support the Editor-in-Chief in developing editorial strategies, and collaborating with the wider editorial and creative teams to oversee city-specific content.
- Ensure all content meets weekly targets and reflects the overall editorial guidelines.
- Cultivate and maintain strong industry connections.
- Ensure all content meets weekly targets and reflects the overall editorial guidelines, editorial standards are met, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, and content meets local and legal guidelines.
- Support the Deputy Editor and sales team by being an ambassador for Caterer and Hotelier by supporting and helping to develop revenue-generating content strategies and establishing good relationships with PRs.
- Attend relevant events and conferences, occasionally outside standard working hours.
- Three-to-five years of editorial experience, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Data-driven and fluent in web analytics software (GA4, Chart beat, etc)
- Skilled writer and editor with the ability to produce excellent editorial copy.
- Multimedia expertise including print, digital, social, and video.
- Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
- The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.
- A strong industry reputation (preferred).
- Experience in trade and / or subscription media (preferred).
- Flexibility and a professional approach always.
- Fluent English.
- Creative - across everything from developing content strategy to how they respond to challenges.
