Job Title: Sr. Engineer- IT AssetsA Senior Engineer in IT Assets will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the organization's IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes overseeing the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware and software assets. The role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, asset management best practices, and compliance standards.Responsibilities:
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal. Develop and implement strategies for efficient asset utilization.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and acquire IT assets. Evaluate vendor proposal.
  • Deployment and Configuration: Ensure proper deployment and configuration of IT assets. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate assets into the network.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring systems to track asset performance. Optimize asset usage, identifying and addressing underutilized resources.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including configurations and licenses. Generate reports on asset utilization, compliance, and performance.
  • Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan and execute regular maintenance activities for IT assets. Coordinate upgrades and replacements based on technology advancements.
  • End-of-Life and Disposal: Develop and execute procedures for the secure disposal of retired assets. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations during disposal.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT asset management.
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and network technologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant UAE compliance standards and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication in both English and Arabic
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA IT Asset Management or similar is a plus.
