For additional information about Coty Inc., please visit .The EMEA Logistics team provides the expertise for the management of the local DC and transport network. It has the responsibility to manage the DC and transport network to deliver added value to the business in terms of service, cost, and cash.This role is accountable for the end-to-end logistics in the MEA region from goods issue in the upstream DC to goods receipt by the end customer. This role will proactively manage the relationships with the MEA logistics partners to ensure they deliver their service, cost, and cash KPI’s.This role will align closely with the VP Market Supply- MEA to ensure that the ongoing business priorities, service, and cost targets are achieved against planKey Responsibilities:
  • Manage, develop, and coach the MEA Logistics team.
  • Manage the complete end to end physical distribution process from inbound supply through the 3PL Distribution Centre and transport delivery to the end customer.
  • Manage the 3PL Distribution Centre, Co packing fulfillment, Freight Companies and Customs Provider relationships and governance structures.
  • Manage the physical customization logistics order workflow with the 3PL Distribution Centre, Transport and Customization providers to ensure supply to fill customer orders.
  • Manage the physical inventory and review inventory reports to monitor inventory integrity, levels and maintain measures to mitigate obsolescence with the Planning team.
  • Generate accurate, timely daily, weekly, monthly reports for the logistics function to present to the MEA BU and Supply Chain management team as required.
  • Ensure that the MEA logistics team meets the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly drumbeat for both the 3PL logistics partners and internal business stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the logistics region meets all the KPI's for service, cost, quality, safety, and cash.
  • Ensure that the logistics region delivers all Logistics Transformation Projects and associated savings.
  • Complete an annual budget and monthly forecast cycle for each logistic function in the region.
  • Analyze monthly cost variances by logistics function and take remedial actions to rectify.
  • Use RCCP to ensure there is adequate distribution and freight capability to support the region and mitigate any risks to service and costs.
  • Forge strong working links with the regional functions (Operational Excellence, Procurement, Supply Chain Finance, QA and HSE, Transport and Customs) to ensure all the reporting and regulatory obligations are met.
  • Continually identify innovation opportunities that will have a positive impact on service, cost, quality, safety, and cash for each of the sites
  • Overall governance and compliance to ensure the correct controls and monitoring is in place for the logistics function and activities across the region.
  • Customer, results, and action oriented - focused on the customer while balancing cost.
  • Technical knowledge - understanding of the 3PL market, knowledge of outsourced distribution requirements.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating - able to plan and coordinate efforts across divisions and geographies, ability to prioritize effectively.

What we are looking for:
  • A minimum of 8 years' logistics management experience within a Consumer Goods environment, in a global company within a supply chain team
  • Experience in managing outsourced logistics operations with network links to the 3PL industry in MEA.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business/Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Leadership – this is a key leadership role for a large organization. This is a critical leadership role on site that requires a dynamic and ambitious leader that can inspire and lead the logistics function across the region along with challenging business processes to deliver continuous improvement in results.
  • Strategic thinking – external benchmarking and connection with business to understand what is required to be competitive on service and cost. Turn these insights into a clear strategy for the operation with a plan to deliver what is required to be competitive.
  • Strong Communication skills – strong leader is required with effective communication skills on a 1 to 1 and group level to really ensure the wider organization is fully engaged in the longer-term strategies. Must be comfortable and confident in presenting to large and small groups at all levels within the organization confidently.
  • Continuous Improvement – experience in developing Daily Management Systems and a culture of continuous improvement in an operational environment.
  • Managing Change – experience in leading a large organization through change to deliver positive results.
  • IT skills – competent level and experience of MS Office, in particular Excel, is necessary.
  • Financial Management – the role has full responsibility for a significant budget and must therefore have experience and knowledge of budgets, budget management and a strong understanding of the financial implications that can arise from decisions being made.
  • Mobility and Travel – the role is based in Dubai but will require occasional travel to visit and conduct internal and external meetings across MEA with key Coty stakeholders, suppliers, and customers. Ideally open to future roles in other parts of Coty’s organization globally.
