To support the preparation, assessment, structuring, and ongoing management of Transport & Logistics and Industrials & Manufacturing credit exposures across UAE and selected international markets. The role contributes to end to end credit analysis, including underwriting, credit pack preparation, approval recommendations, and post approval monitoring, in line with the Bank's risk appetite, sector strategy, and regulatory requirements.The position works closely with senior Credit colleagues, Relationship, Product, Risk, and Legal teams on a range of financing structures, gaining exposure to complex transactions while operating within established credit frameworks.Key Accountabilities
- Perform detailed credit analysis and risk assessment for Sector related transactions, including working capital financing, corporate level debt and structured asset financing.
- Prepare / write credit applications, financial analysis, and approval recommendations
- Support structuring of facilities such as term loans, revolving facilities, and guarantees, ensuring alignment with approved risk parameters.
- Support sector-specific portfolio management, including credit reviews, covenant monitoring, account conduct oversight, and tracking financial performance and risk indicators.
- Collaborate with Coverage and Product teams on credit assessments and client meetings.
- Contribute to responses for audit, regulatory, and internal review queries related to assigned transactions and portfolio accounts
- Ensure credit work adheres to Group Credit Policies, Sector specific underwriting standards, and Delegated approval frameworks
- Maintain agreed credit processing timelines (SLAs) while ensuring accuracy and completeness of submissions.
- Build and maintain understanding of UAE and global sector trends incl. key regulatory and risk developments affecting the sector
- Participate in internal discussions and training related to sector risk, underwriting standards, and portfolio trends.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (mandatory).
- Professional qualification preferred: CA, CFA, CPA, CAIA
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in banking, including at least three years focused on credit analysis or risk roles-ideally within the T&L or I&M sectors.
- Candidates should be able to operate within established credit frameworks while exercising independent judgment.
- Preference will be given to those with underwriting and credit analysis experience specific to these sectors.
