Job Title: Team Lead- EngineeringSalary: Negotiable dependent upon experience (tax free)Location: Abu DhabiWe currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Team Lead- Engineering. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.The Team Lead- Engineering is the resident ILS expert and is responsible for managing the technical process through which supportability and logistic support considerations are integrated into the design of a system and taken into account throughout its life cycle. They are responsible for the process by which all elements of logistic support, and maintenance are planned, acquired, tested, and provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.The post holder should be capable of balancing complex issues requiring detailed evaluation of factors and to exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques and other analytical criteria to develop ILS concepts that improves aircraft reliability and lowers operational cost by developing, examining, analyzing, and validating aircraft operational data, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and other operational inputs.The operation works a 24 hour shift pattern comprising of 3 x 8 hour shifts so you will be expected to work a mixture of days and nights.Main Responsibilities:
  • Manages and establishes procedures for analyzing maintenance and operational readiness of various aircraft for the customer.
  • Manages and establishes procedures for analyzing equipment & aircraft failures and recommend corrective action to bring the aircraft and equipment into operation.
  • Provides input to aircraft maintenance planning data and long-term maintenance plans for the aircraft.
  • Manages and establishes procedures for analyzing maintenance logs to determine if failures are within norms or indicate any trends that might require a change in maintenance practice or logistics provisioning.
  • Manages the preparation of reports summarizing key fleet performance indicators.
  • Manages the development of annual Life Cycle Management Plans (LCMP) for each aircraft type.
  • Coordinates and communicate key requirements within aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to satisfy operational requirements.
  • Conducts business case and other analysis to support the addition of new capabilities at customer site, i.e., new shop equipment.
  • Develops systems and processes to identify innovative, integrated solutions to enhance and lower the cost of through life support of the aircraft.
