  • Provide comprehensive care for critically ill and premature neonates from admission through discharge
  • Conduct and interpret neonatal diagnostic investigations including imaging, laboratory tests, and bedside monitoring
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for complex neonatal conditions
  • Monitor patient progress closely and respond promptly to clinical changes
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatric subspecialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals for coordinated care
  • Educate and counsel parents on neonatal care, feeding practices, developmental milestones, and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant medical documentation in line with DHA regulations
  • Participate in clinical governance, patient safety programs, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and supervise junior doctors and NICU staff, supporting ongoing professional development
Ideal Profile
  • Medical Degree with board certification in Neonatology or Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at Consultant NICU level in a reputable tertiary healthcare facility
  • Western-trained education or clinical experience required
  • Fluency in English, with Arabic considered advantageous
  • Strong clinical decision-making and critical care expertise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and patient safety
