- Substantial credit and risk assessment experience gained within a financial institution, asset manager, public accounting firm, or equivalent, required to deliver accurate and timely credit opinions
- Deep understanding of Middle East banking and non-bank financial institution credit markets, including regulatory and operating environments, required for informed credit analysis
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and assess credit risk drivers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clearly at rating committees and engage credibly with senior stakeholders
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently in a high-profile environment
- Fluency in English required; Arabic or French preferred
- Willingness to travel across the EMEA region
- Curiosity and working knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, with interest in applying AI tools responsibly to improve analytical efficiency and processes
- Strong academic background at least equivalent to MSc/MBA in relevant areas CIMA /ACCA/CFA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned banks and financial systems, acting as a subject matter expert for the region
- Perform comprehensive fundamental credit analysis and present findings effectively at rating committees with a high degree of autonomy
- Write high-quality, insightful research on credit trends, individual issuers, and banking systems, contributing to Moody's analytical leadership
- Build and sustain strong relationships with senior management at rated financial institutions and engage effectively with investors
- Respond to investor and issuer inquiries, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with published credit opinions
- Enhance Moody's franchise by participating in conferences, outreach activities, and other visibility initiatives across EMEA
- Coach, review, and develop Ratings Associates, providing guidance on analysis quality and professional development
