Roles and Responsibilities-1) Planning: * Allocate stock as per Indent against the Work Order to ensure clarity on net stock amounts against each of the line items in the system
  • Segregate the non-moving inventory as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalate such issues to the concerned stakeholders to dispose of the same.
  • Calculate and Plan the manpower requirement to smoothly run the Warehouse
  • Manage and maintain records on the flow of material incoming and material issues from stores.
  • Discuss with the Production Planning and Control Team and define the delivery schedule of the raw material to maintain the minimum Inventory at Warehouse and meet the production requirements
  • Share the required delivery schedule with the Purchase Team and monitor the adherence of the delivery schedule to ensure the On-time material availability.
2) Execution: * a) Ensuring Indenting of the material against the Work Order requirements shared by PPC Team.
  • b) Ensuring Gate Entry to Goods Receipt (GR) Posting work is performed for all the incoming materials in the ERP system.
  • c) Performing the Material Issue entries in ERP as per the material issue request slip requirements received from the respective department.
  • d) Maintain the Minimum Stock Level (MSL) of Stock Items by performing regular indentation of stock items when the net stock at Stores reach to the Re-Order Level (ROL) or below the ROL.
  • e) ensure zero variances of Physical Vs ERP Stock at Warehouse.
  • f) Verify the Quality Inspection Report & the Mill Test Certificates (MTCs)
  • g) Check the Incoming material as per the set Quality Assurance Procedures
  • h) Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Material Incoming(Gate Entry to Goods Receipt Posting), Material Storage & Stock Keeping, Material Issue & Issue Return, Scrap Management and Material Indenting (Production & Non-Production).
  • i) Prepare Sales Order (SO) for scrap and inter-unit movement of goods in the Middle East i.e. from Dubai to Oman.
3) Data Capturing & Documentation: * a) Update the Indent number and date in the tracker in the Google Sheets( to ensure Indent adherence.
  • b) Update the daily Incoming Vs issue sheet to check the daily available tonnage of stock at Stores and cross verify the same with ERP data.
  • c) Update the material issue turn-around-time (TAT) to ensure & reduce the overall Inventory in the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) time for all Work Orders as per defines Service Level Agreements.
  • d) Analyze the Overdue and Over Consumption Material details to ensure minimization of the Out of Stock Inventory.
  • e) Ensure accurate and timely updation of Inventory related data(Incoming/outgoing/material issuance to the production/ Non-Production Issues) & sharing the data monthly to Management Information System (MIS) Team.
4) Continuous Improvement(CI): * a) Execute some Kaizen/Improvement activities to increase the capacity of the warehouse.
  • b) Reduce the overall TAT of Material Gate Entry to Material Issue.
5) People/Self- Development/Training * a) Develop and Implement Procedures
  • b) Create awareness & train workmen on how to maintain stock ledger (matching with ERP)
  • c) Perform regular internal audits for Warehouse and other departments as per ISO requirement.
  • d) Assist other internal and external auditors in performing external audits
  • e) Manage manpower development to develop the skilled and multi-skilled manpower as per skill matrix.
  • f) Learn new things and contribute to process improvement
  • i) Keep a record of improvements made.
