- Ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste and reduce food costs.
- Follow portion control guidelines and ensure accurate food preparation according to recipes to maintain cost efficiency.
- Prepare and cook sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items to the highest quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized cooking station to ensure food quality and safety.
- Support the kitchen team in preparing food quickly to meet customer demand during peak times.
- Follow all food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment at all times.
- Clean and sanitize cooking stations, kitchen tools, and equipment after each shift.
- Ensure food is stored correctly and keep track of stock levels to ensure proper inventory management.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and sauces as required by the kitchen team.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary training or experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role is an advantage.
- Familiarity with preparing wraps, sandwiches, and other quick-service food items.
- Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency.
