Job Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control QA-QC for drilling and completion chemicals and brines, maintaining complete records
  • Conduct spot checks at company stores, supplier stores, service company facilities, rigs, and brine plants
  • Verify proper storage, handling, housekeeping, HSE compliance, and document control
  • Coordinate with commercial and stores teams to maintain adequate safety stock and analyze consumption trends
  • Establish quarterly chemical requirements aligned with planned well programs
  • Perform lab pilot tests to verify service company formulations and support performance validation
  • Investigate quality discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and follow up with suppliers
  • Support troubleshooting of drilling issues with lab testing and technical recommendations
  • Liaise with OPCOs laboratories to ensure QA-QC of price agreement chemicals and proper sampling
  • Ensure use of environmentally friendly chemicals and continuous reduction of chemical waste
  • Conduct periodic audits of supplier stores including pre-qualification, tender evaluation, mobilization, and routine HSE and quality audits; issue reports
  • Participate in technical evaluations of joint OPCOs tenders for chemicals
  • Provide fluids input to Well Value Assurance planning to enhance performance
  • Review and update drilling fluids manuals, QA-QC manuals, lab test procedures, specifications, and HSE procedures
  • Execute pilot studies and trials for new formulations, chemicals, and technologies; prepare evaluation reports
  • Review fluid reports, well recaps, end-of-well and phase reports; assess solids control efficiency and recommend improvements
  • Provide QA-QC support to cementing activities as required
  • Track industry developments, assess new supplier offerings, implement trials, and introduce innovations
  • Work strictly in line with HSE policies and regulatory requirements
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field
  • Strong experience in drilling fluids QA-QC within oil and gas operations
  • Proven laboratory testing, auditing, and supplier management capabilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot drilling fluid challenges and recommend solutions
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination skills
