Civil Inspector - AECOM Middle East - Dubai, UAE

• Review applicable codes, standards, and contract documents and monitor construction activities for compliance
• Perform general inspection of construction and subcontractor works to ensure safe and workmanlike execution
• Verify equipment settings, alignment, testing, and energization requirements
• Maintain familiarity with detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures
• Ensure contractor compliance with approved standards and technical specifications
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment resources
• Carry out site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
• Liaise daily with contractors to monitor resources, safety practices, and equipment needs
• Prepare daily site reports covering work orders, material deliveries, and inspection activities
• Implement and follow up on site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
• Apply and enforce site quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels
• Coordinate with client project managers during inspections alongside the engineering team
• Assist in preparation of correspondence and documentation in compliance with contract requirements
• Identify site issues and support timely resolution with the engineering team
• Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover activities and maintain milestone records
• Maintain records of material tests, inspection reports, and executed works
• Conduct audit inspections to verify conformity with contract documents and contractor submissions

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in similar inspection or supervision roles for construction projects
• Candidates with technical institute diploma or high school qualification must demonstrate extended relevant experience
• Strong understanding of construction quality control and assurance practices
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures
• Strong reporting, coordination, and site communication skills
