Job Description:Research, interpret and apply market trends appropriate to the brand/ target customer
  • Assist Design Manager in seasonal range building
  • Manage creative and technical development of product
  • Build consistency throughout product lines to ensure a clear message is delivered while continuing to grow Max as an authentic, value fashion retailer
  • Work closely with the Design Manager on seasonal direction
  • Develop technical sketches and graphics/prints for new products
  • Collaborate with Merchandising team to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity
  • Be actively involved in product and trend presentations
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with cross functional teams
  • Plan and execute seasonal ranges and tech packs in a fast paced environment, as per the set critical path
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a BA Qualification in Fashion Design
  • 3-5 years of proven professional experience in a similar role
  • Have a strong eye for trend spotting, colour, prints, graphics, fabrics and silhouettes
  • Technical proficiency in garment construction
  • Ability to sketch and render in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop - Knowledge of CLO 3D design will definitely be an added advantage
  • Great eye and proficiency in developing placement graphics and/or all over prints
  • Team player with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (in English)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and seasonal calendars
