Prepare scopes of work for engineering consultants and EPC contractors involved in piping engineering projects.
Review engineering studies and design work prepared by consultants to ensure compliance with company standards and technical specifications.
Evaluate and approve piping design drawings, specifications, and related technical documentation.
Participate in technical evaluation of tenders and provide engineering recommendations.
Provide technical guidance for development and updating of engineering specifications and design standards.
Perform engineering calculations for piping system validation, optimization, and safety assurance.
Monitor performance of engineering contractors and consultants during basic and detailed engineering phases.
Ensure application of advanced engineering technologies and value engineering practices for cost-effective project delivery.
Support pre-qualification of engineering consultants and vendors involved in project execution.
Update engineering procedures, design philosophies, and technical specifications for piping engineering.
Participate in site surveys to assess facility requirements and support engineering project development.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure alignment of design requirements.
Review design basis documentation, engineering philosophies, and technical specifications related to piping systems.Ideal Profile
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in piping engineering within the oil and gas industry.
Hands-on experience in piping layout design, piping materials selection, and piping stress analysis.
Experience supporting both offshore and onshore oil and gas engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, piping codes, and technical specifications.
Ability to review engineering designs and provide technical recommendations for improvement.
Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving skills.
