- Review industry/market trends and conduct deep dives
- Proactively manage scouting and deal sourcing activities
- Assist with all stages of deal execution, including sourcing new investment opportunities, preparing investment memos, conducting due diligence, and reporting on successful exit opportunities.
- Read/review business plans and pitch decks, documentation and Data Rooms of potential targets, performing additional industry research and background checks.
- Conduct interdisciplinary evaluation of new investments in innovative startups and new technologies, including market research, business model analysis, market fit, competitor research, financial analyses, and management team capabilities
- Prepare research and financial analyses, and conduct feasibility studies on new investment projects.
- Creation of detailed information memorandums and synthetic financial reports.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis requested by Senior Management.
- Support portfolio companies in their financial, technical, and commercial needs while maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs and their teams.
- Support investor reporting and fundraising efforts.
- Support the Universities endowment monitoring.
- Experience in VC/PE funds, accelerators, high-growth companies, or banking/consulting/Big4 with a focus on investment analysis and the management of financial transactions.
- Minimum experience required: 3 years for Investment Analyst, and 5 years for Senior Investment Analyst
- Venture capital deal-making and portfolio management experience preferred.
- Passion for entrepreneurship, deep tech, venture capital and early stage investing
- Ability to identify and evaluate entrepreneurs, business models, and companies.
- Ability to structure information and create well-designed PowerPoint presentations.
- Proven working experience in preparing complex financial models and summary reports for a C-Suite audience.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or finance is required; CFA, MBA, or MSc degrees are preferred.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
- Ability to build financial models from A to Z. The FMVA (Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst) certification, or an equivalent, would be valued.
- Financial savviness and fluency with business analysis metrics.
