The company is committed to preserving value and focuses its social responsibility efforts accordingly.They are currently looking to hire an experienced Logistics Manager to join their team in the UAE.The Logistics Manager will be responsible for driving and overseeing the company's logistics operations. He will be responsible for managing and coordinating sales and distribution, order management, and warehousing operations. The Logistics manager will ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products to satisfy internal and external stakeholders, optimize warehouse processes, and maintain adequate stock levels.Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee the overall logistics operations, including sales and distribution, warehousing, and order management.
  • Drive and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor the performance of the logistics team and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Act as a business partner by collaborating with internal stakeholders (Retail, Professional, Product Management, Finance and Marketing).
  • Ownership of Logistics KPIs (Logistics Costs / Stock Value & Quality / Stock Days/ Forecast Accuracy / OTIF ...)
  • Resolve operational challenges with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to ensure timely delivery of goods and high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and customs laws.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics procedures to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Act as a mentor for the logistics team to ensure a high level of productivity and constant improvement.
  • Leverage usage of tools such as Infonet, SAP, and related digital technologies to create logistics analytics and streamline processes
  • Develop in-depth business, analytical, and systems knowledge to improve current approaches and come up with adequate business recommendations
  • Review and enhance supply chain forecasting and order management processes
  • Analyze current processes, practices, and physical capacity ensuring they are future-proof and robust to support the business sales forecast in these product lines
  • Identify data sources, track, and report regularly on key operational performance metrics, and measure the success of projects
  • Design, build, and maintain data visualization, analytical dashboards, and optimization tools to grasp business insights and identify regional Supply Chain network opportunities and optimal distribution sites
  • Deliver Supply Chain & Logistics insights and financial reports across several business units including Retail, Distribution, E-Commerce, Finance & Marketing through data analysis
  • Estimate distribution costs for new business opportunities/direct freight, DC costs, etc...
  • Anticipate critical business issues and opportunities and come up with key impactful solutions to the business
Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance or Commercial operations or Analytics
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role responsible for managing a team
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, and supply chain principles.
  • Self-driven analytical and detail-oriented
  • Flexible, dynamic, and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently with changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate and challenge different stakeholders across multiple department lines
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; strong listening skills; naturally inclusive in decision-making environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel; Written and Verbal communication
  • Knowledge of operational supply chain processes including the flow of materials and information
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
