- Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities, reporting unsafe practices and incidents, acting as a design authority for particular engineering discipline and completing engineering assignments for that discipline
- Acting as a technical lead, approving design deliverables, interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers, attending project meetings and presenting all technical aspects of project assignments, actively participating in project meetings and resolving any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work according to customer order and expectation, ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations
- Performing complex field service tasks, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform, coordinating and resolving high level technical issues/questions and providing advice and recommendations both internally and to customers within own area of expertise
- Working with customer in identifying opportunities in the installed base improving system performance and operational performance improvements, providing and creating a team approach to service related activities and offering customers a complete lifecycle approach to product implementation
- Supporting ultimate system upgrades and/or evolution, utilizing the local practices for notifying the account team of opportunities, assisting in creating proposals for projects through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates
- Leading and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on low to medium complexity projects, leading single or multi-discipline engineering teams of less than 10 resources, creating work plans and cost estimates for the project in consultation with respective Project Managers and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost
- Utilizing standard processes, tools and techniques, ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements, supporting the Project Manager in overall project risk and opportunity assessments and implementation of resulting actions
- Identifying opportunities for repeating and new businesses, reviewing all project documents for conformity, safety and quality assurance, supporting Project Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree – Engineering field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role and experience in the automation area
- Overall automation systems understanding, combined with process knowledge in in one of: Oil & Gas, Power & Water sectors
- Knowledge of ABB systems eg: Infi90, 800xA, Symphony Plus (S+) etc, knowledge of Industrial Cyber security and networking solutions for ABB systems
- Experience with Onshore and/or Offshore Oil and Gas customers like with ADNOC and/or Power & Water sector experience
- Customer interpersonal skills, communication skills and should have a problem solving approach
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
