The Surveyor - Highway Construction is responsible for delivering precise survey data and field measurements that guide construction activities. This role ensures all infrastructure works align with approved designs, helping maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across road and utility projects.Key Responsibilities
- Perform survey tasks under direction of senior survey engineers for highway and infrastructure projects
- Establish horizontal and vertical control points with accurate calculations and reference ties
- Conduct pre-construction surveys to validate site conditions and support project planning
- Carry out layout, staking, and setting out for roads, pavements, drainage, and utilities
- Verify contractor work for alignment, levels, and grading against approved drawings
- Coordinate with contractor survey teams and Resident Engineer to resolve discrepancies
- Perform traverse closures and benchmark checks to maintain survey accuracy
- Maintain field books, survey records, and detailed documentation for project reporting
- Utilize GPS systems, total stations, and survey software for measurements and analysis
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of survey equipment for consistent performance
- Prepare as-built drawings and survey reports for final documentation and handover
- Follow safety procedures during all field operations and survey activities
- Proven experience as land surveyor in road and highway infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of UAE standards and authority requirements such as RTA and Dubai Municipality
- Experience in construction layout, control points, and alignment verification
- Ability to operate modern survey instruments and software tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and reporting
- Ability to work effectively in site-based construction environments
