This role is focused on delivering advanced cardiology care with specialization in heart failure, transplant, and mechanical circulatory support. The consultant plays a leadership role in managing complex cardiac cases, guiding treatment strategies, and improving long-term patient outcomes through evidence-based care and collaboration with specialized cardiac teams.Key Responsibilities
- Manage patients with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, and post-transplant cardiac conditions
- Lead heart failure clinics, transplant follow-up services, and inpatient cardiology consultations
- Optimize guideline-directed medical therapy for complex cardiac patients
- Evaluate and select candidates for heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices
- Interpret advanced cardiac diagnostics including echocardiography, cardiac MRI, CPET, and hemodynamic studies
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and electrophysiology specialists for integrated care
- Participate in transplant committees and multidisciplinary case discussions
- Oversee pre-transplant evaluation, peri-operative care, and long-term post-transplant management
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and service improvement initiatives
- Engage in research, clinical trials, and academic activities within cardiology
- Medical degree from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Cardiology from a recognized authority
- Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
- Minimum 8-10 years of consultant-level experience in cardiology
- Proven expertise in heart failure management, transplant care, and mechanical circulatory support
- Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
- Fluency in English with Arabic as an advantage
- Advanced heart failure management
- Cardiac transplant evaluation and follow-up
