Requirements:Diploma/ BS in Architecture or Graduate of Architectural Drafting or equivalent5 years of relevant experience in the role of Design Coordinator or similarExperience working with a team and consultantsComputer Skills: Autocad Multi Version, Microsoft Office Multi VersionAcrobat Reader, Adobe Photo Shop, 3D Max StudioDemonstrated knowledge of project cost and budget controls.Demonstrate organizational, people management and time management skills.Strong verbal and written skills Qualifications:Study & review the project documents (Project specification, issued for construction drawings, pre tender & post tender queries, , etc) in order to plan ahead for all required engineering according to the Project programEnsuring compliancy with local standards and International Building Codes (IBC)Assist the Design Manager to plan, organize, implement, coordinate and control the construction of architectural works.Review with Design Manager the engineering Logs to provide accurate delivery datesLiaises with the commercial team and Highlight any difference between the Issued for construction drawings and Tender drawingsLiaises with the procurement team to ensure the assigning of the subcontractor /supplier as planned in order to carry out the engineering works as plannedDrawings and diagrams: Preparation, back-drafting, updating as per project discipline requirements and good engineering practicesLiaises with subcontractor and supplier to ensure their delivery of the required engineering submittals as planned earlierLiaises with the CAD designer, plan, review the shop drawings done in house to ensure it is in line issued for construction documentsReview the material submittals and shop drawings submitted by the subcontractors and ensure it is in line issued for construction documentsCoordinate with all other discipline to produce a coordinated drawings for constructionIndependently able to provide solutions to problems in the field or ensure that sub-contractors Requests for Information are addressed quicklyControl/ monitor and respond to client/ contractor and sub-contractor RFIsIssue RFIs for any missing information / discrepancies within the issued for construction documents and arrange for workshops meeting with the consultant/clientEnsuring that all RFIs replies have been reflected on the construction drawings and the site team are working based on the latest drawingsEnsure that the engineering logs are updated on a daily basis and the information presented to the consultant /client within the weekly report are realistic and reflect the actual status of the EngineeringLiaises with the commercial team and assist for the updating of the project change trackers on weekly basis to ensure that all design changes in reference to RFIs reply, comments on drawings, RFMs, etc received from the consultant /client have been considered for any cost impactAdapts / executes existing drawings to incorporate design changes demonstrating accuracy and thoroughnessSchedule Structural / Architectural / M&E works from commencement to completion of the projectCo-ordinate with the Architect, Structural and M&E staff members to resolve related problem and issues.
