We are seeking a Business Development & Investment Manager focusing on projects across the Middle East, Africa, and India. You will be part of a leading investment platform focused on energy and infrastructure and will within an hybrid role combining business development, investment evaluation, and asset management, providing exposure across the full lifecycle of strategic projects – from identifying new opportunities to overseeing the performance of existing assets.Job descriptionKey ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development / Project OriginationIdentify and support the development of new project opportunities, particularly in India.Engage with promoters, partners, and stakeholders to evaluate potential projects.Support negotiations on transaction terms, structure, and financing solutions.Investment AssessmentConduct detailed financial and risk analysis of prospective projects.Prepare investment proposals, including executive summaries, projected returns, and risk assessments.Review key project agreements (Shareholders Agreement, EPC, O&M contracts) to assess bankability and contractual risk.Asset ManagementSupport the management of existing assets.Monitor portfolio performance, budgets, and compliance with contractual obligations.Participate in Board and committee meetings, preparing briefings and recommendations.Support governance, reporting, and performance tracking of invested assets.Candidate ProfileExperience: 5-8 years in investment, project development, or asset management; exposure to energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Indian market and experience with local partners.Exposure: Experience in private equity, funds, or corporate investment environments preferred.Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation capabilities; hands-on experience in budgeting, reporting, and financial assessment.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.Personal Attributes: Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a multicultural environment.
