This position plays a critical role in managing complex neuro-oncology cases in children, supporting advanced treatment protocols, and improving long-term patient outcomes. The role contributes to clinical excellence, program development, and research within pediatric oncology services while strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration across departments.Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric CNS tumors including medulloblastoma, gliomas, ependymoma, and rare brain tumors
- Lead individualized treatment plans involving chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy approaches
- Collaborate with radiation oncology and neurosurgery teams for integrated treatment planning
- Manage treatment-related complications including neurotoxicity and endocrine disorders
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care including long-term follow-up for survivors
- Participate actively in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions
- Contribute to the development of pediatric neuro-oncology clinical programs and protocols
- Mentor junior physicians, fellows, and clinical staff
- Communicate effectively with families, providing clear and compassionate guidance on treatment plans
- Support psychosocial care in coordination with multidisciplinary support teams
- Participate in research activities, clinical trials, and academic publications
- Medical degree from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Pediatric Oncology or Hematology
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology
- 8-10 years of post-specialization experience including consultant-level practice
- Proven expertise in managing complex pediatric CNS tumor cases
- Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and patient care approach
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
