- Assist nurses with non-medical patient related care as directed by and under supervision of the nurse on duty.
- Respond quickly to patient's or his family's request for assistance; keeping in mind that patient safety and
- Will receive non-clinical responsibilities each shift from the nurse.
- Assist the nurse with patient's activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, and mobility, physical
- Assist the nurses obtain patient's height and weight measurement.
- Know hospital's approved disinfectants and their indications for usage in their department.
- Comply with patient's confidentiality as per hospital's policy.
- Escort stable patients by wheelchairs or assist nurses with bed transport to and from Radiology Department as
- Participates as a valued team member in any scheduled educational activities, promoting and contributing to a
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Be familiar with patient safety goals that are applicable to their daily activities.
- Notifying nurses of OSH hazards, incidents, near misses or any concerns.
- Comply with waste management transmission-based precautions policies and procedures.
- Work together with the nurses for the completion of departmental inventories.
- Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nurse In-charge or Nurse Team Leader on duty
- Two years of college or equivalent; certificate in caregiver course is advantageous.
- Average command of oral and written English; Spoken Arabic advantageous.
- Demonstrate motivation to work in a health care environment.
- Amenable in working shifting hours.
