This includes crafting distinctive buildings that imbue cities with character, designing iconic bridges that seamlessly blend into their surroundings, creating transportation systems such as high-speed roads, intelligent roadways, stations, and airports that serve as the backbone of regions, and engineering remotely controlled networks for energy and water distribution, driving urban and demographic development.Working with the Country Manager to strategically grow disciplines of interest and opportunity;Significant input in the direction of the regional growth of the marine team in terms of market sectors and areas;Grow and lead the marine team in Bahrain with full operational responsibility;Where opportunities permit and subject to specific requirements, lead any number of project-based resources in countries outside of the Bahrain;Assist the Country Manager in growing the regional presence and look to grow marine capability regional in other offices;Lead the marine business development regionally and be key point of contact for marine works in a number of strategic areas.Management of all work in compliance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS)Experience Criteria
  • 8-12 years industry experience.
  • Experience of working in the GCC – particularly in UAE, KSA and Bahrain;
  • Broad experience in marine structural design, coastal processes design, numerical modelling studies and an understanding of environmental engineering;
Skills and knowledge
  • Proven delivery of projects both technically and financially;
  • Ability to self-start /manage;
  • Lateral thinker;
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written;
  • Drives technical excellence and delivery;
  • Astute business development skills;
  • Tendering and pricing ability;
  • Technical expert in specific disciplines;
  • Team Leader;
  • Client facing;
  • Strong and proven project commercial and financial experience.
  • Masters level in Civil / Structural Engineering, Coastal Processes, Marine Structural Engineering or similar;
  • Chartered level in ICE, CIWEM or equivalent;
