The Engineer - Electrical Infrastructure is responsible for managing electrical construction activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to approved standards. This role contributes to reliable infrastructure delivery by maintaining quality, safety, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise electrical works including street lighting, feeder pillars, LV networks, and control systems across infrastructure projects
  • Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and authority regulations
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection test plans for electrical components
  • Develop and implement inspection and testing procedures aligned with project quality plans
  • Witness testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems
  • Coordinate with DEWA for power connections, inspections, and approvals
  • Liaise with authorities and service providers to resolve interface and coordination issues
  • Collaborate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to integrate electrical works into project execution
  • Monitor sequencing of electrical activities in line with construction schedules
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and project progress
  • Support preparation of punch lists and final handover documentation
  • Supervise and guide electrical inspectors to ensure quality and compliance
  • Identify risks and provide solutions to prevent delays or rework
  • Promote strict adherence to HSE standards across all electrical activities
Ideal Profile
  • Strong experience in electrical engineering within infrastructure or transportation projects
  • Knowledge of UAE authority standards including DEWA and RTA
  • Experience in electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, and control systems
  • Ability to manage testing, commissioning, and integration of systems
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong technical and reporting capabilities
