- Assist the Operations Manager in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards ? recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and evaluate health and safety risks ? ensure risk assessments and control measures are updated.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses ? prepare reports ? implement preventative measures.
- Lead safety training and awareness programs for technicians, staff, and contractors.
- Ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, PPE, alarms, emergency exits) is regularly checked and maintained.
- Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, etc.).
- Maintain accurate safety records ? inspections, incident reports, compliance documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections ? ensure timely resolution of findings.
- Support operations by advising on ergonomics, safe equipment usage, and work procedures.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Safety certification (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA) is highly preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant safety experience, preferably within Facilities Management or similar environments.Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of UAE health & safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with safety management software is a plus.Working Conditions:
- Based on-site at client facilities.
- Must be able to conduct site walks/inspections, sometimes in challenging conditions.
- Flexibility required for occasional evening/weekend audits or emergency response.
