This role is responsible for overseeing collections and recovery operations, ensuring maximum recoveries while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal policies. It plays a critical role in protecting the bank's financial position by reducing provisions, improving cash flow, and managing high-risk accounts effectively.Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned collections portfolio and achieve financial targets including recoveries and provision reduction
- Lead and motivate a team of collection professionals to maximize performance and outcomes
- Develop and implement effective recovery strategies for delinquent accounts
- Lead restructuring and settlement negotiations for complex and sensitive cases
- Evaluate and recommend restructuring, rescheduling, or write-off proposals
- Monitor team performance, workload distribution, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with internal teams including credit, legal, and compliance for case resolution
- Maintain relationships with external agencies, law enforcement, and legal advisors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including KYC and AML standards
- Handle escalations, customer complaints, and resolution processes
- Track portfolio performance metrics and continuously improve collection strategies
- Strong experience in collections, recovery, or consumer banking operations
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a banking environment
- Expertise in restructuring, negotiations, and delinquency management
