
Junior Area Sales Manager Luxury - Export Markets North Africa

- Assist in implementing sales strategies, pricing structures, and trade terms tailored to each market.
- Monitor monthly and quarterly sales performance and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Ensure alignment with Coty's commercial objectives and guidelines in all distributor activities.
- Support preparation and follow-up of Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs & QBRs).
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for distributor partners, supporting them on execution and reporting.
- Coordinate with distributors on order planning, shipment tracking, and stock availability.
- Help manage trade spend, tracking effectiveness and ROI of promotional investments.
- Participate in regular performance review meetings with partners and share feedback with internal teams.
- Ensure excellence in in-store execution across multiple channels (perfumery, department stores, lower trade, e-commerce).
- Monitor POS visibility, merchandising standards, and promotion compliance through distributor feedback or market visits.
- Support new product launches and ensure proper sell-in/sell-out coordination.
- Collaborate with Trade Marketing to localize toolkits and support retail activation initiatives.
- Contribute to monthly sales forecasts and ensure timely submission of distributor demand plans.
- Monitor sell-in/sell-out performance to optimize stock levels and avoid over/under-stocking.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain team to ensure order accuracy and on-time deliveries.
- Track slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose action plans.
- Work closely with Trade Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to support seamless execution.
- Prepare sales and financial performance reports using tools such as Excel, Oracle, or internal dashboards.
- Assist in planning market visits and preparing post-visit reports and actions.
- Contribute to business cases and projects that enhance commercial efficiency or market performance.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in sales or trade marketing within the luxury beauty sector.
- Strong knowledge of the North African market, including culture, business environment, and customer behavior.
- Proven experience managing multiple distributors across various channels (upper trade, lower trade, wholesale, e-commerce).
- Excellent strategic thinking and sales planning skills with the ability to adapt based on market feedback.
- Fluency in Arabic, French, and English, with willingness to travel regularly across the North African region.
