The Inspector - STP Civil Works is responsible for supervising civil construction activities related to sewage treatment plants, ensuring that tanks, pipelines, and structural components are executed in line with approved drawings, project specifications, and regulatory requirements while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, codes, and technical drawings related to STP civil works including tanks, pipe systems, and process units
- Carry out daily inspections to confirm compliance with approved shop drawings and construction methods
- Monitor excavation, reinforcement, concrete works, and finishing activities for structural components
- Verify pipeline alignments, levels, and dimensions including chambers and manholes
- Ensure contractor adherence to Dubai Municipality standards and quality procedures
- Maintain daily logs of manpower, materials, and equipment usage on site
- Supervise waterproofing, curing processes, and coating applications for durability and compliance
- Assist Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer with site instructions and implementation tracking
- Coordinate with contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Prepare detailed inspection reports covering progress, testing updates, and safety observations
- Support surveying checks and measurement verification for infrastructure components
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover ensuring proper documentation and approvals
- Assist in reviewing RFIs and technical variations related to civil scope
- Maintain organized records including inspection reports, NCRs, and testing documentation
- Strong background in civil inspection within infrastructure or sewage treatment plant projects
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and authority standards
- Experience supervising complex civil works including underground utilities and concrete structures
- Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and contractor coordination effectively
- High attention to detail with strong technical evaluation skills
- Comfortable working on active construction sites with multiple stakeholders
