Job Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities
  • Perform defined portions of geotechnical and rock mechanics engineering assignments under moderate supervision.
  • Conduct site reconnaissance and geological mapping with focus on rock mass classification and stability assessment.
  • Develop geological models, profiles, and cross sections using AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and related tools.
  • Perform rock slope stability, rock fall, and geohazard analyses and design mitigation systems including anchors, mesh, and barriers.
  • Plan and interpret geotechnical investigations including in situ and laboratory testing.
  • Define geotechnical parameters and prepare technical design reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Support preparation of contracts for investigations and construction works.
  • Apply international geotechnical and rock mechanics standards and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, tunnelling, and hydrology teams to integrate geotechnical solutions.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and authorities to secure approvals and technical alignment.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Rock Mechanics, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in geotechnical design and site reconnaissance.
  • Strong knowledge of rock slope stability analysis and rock mass classification systems.
  • Proficiency in RocScience Suite including RocFall, Dips, RocPlane, SWedge, RSData, and Slide2 or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS for mapping and spatial data management.
  • Strong technical report writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working within GCC regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
