The Head of Internal Shariah Control plays a strategic role in ensuring full Shariah compliance across the organization. The role strengthens governance frameworks, supports regulatory adherence, and ensures alignment with Shariah supervisory guidelines within Takaful operations.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full Shariah compliance across all products, services, and operational processes
- Lead the development and implementation of internal Shariah control frameworks
- Liaise with the Internal Shariah Supervisory Committee and implement approved resolutions
- Communicate Shariah guidelines across internal departments and ensure proper execution
- Oversee Shariah audit and control functions across business units
- Monitor compliance with Islamic finance standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance on Shariah-related matters to management and operational teams
- Support governance, reporting, and continuous improvement of Shariah compliance systems
- Bachelor's degree in Islamic Shariah or related specialization
- Professional certification in Shariah supervision or Takaful insurance
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Islamic financial institutions
- At least 5 years of experience in Shariah supervision within Takaful insurance
- Strong knowledge of Islamic finance principles and governance frameworks
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
