Essential Functions
Review and report on assessment policy, processes, methods, activities and results.
Make systemic and specific recommendations for continuous improvements in assessment that will contribute towards increased student success.
Make recommendations for and manage staff professional development designed to improve assessment.
Contribute to institutional self-assessment reports as and when required.
Make presentations at all levels and offer specialist advice when required.Required SkillsExperience Required
At least 15 years' experience in tertiary education, including vocational education, with a significant emphasis on leading and managing assessment systems and practices, including moderation processes and online assessment.
Led and managed staff professional development for improving assessment for increased student success.
A mixture of Western and UAE experience would be highly regarded.Education Requirements
Master's degree in Education or equivalent.
Workplace Assessor, Internal and External Verifier qualifications or equivalent.
Teaching qualification.Competency Required
Monitor and evaluate the various aspects of learning and assessment to maximize student success and review and report on quality standards.
Collect, analyse, organise and apply information.
Staff supervision.
Project management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email and internet.
Flexible and adapt well to change.
Ability to set priorities, multi-task, and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
Capable of working under pressure.
Effective relationship manager.
Successfully interact and work with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Native English speaker.
