- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of ocular conditions
- Perform advanced ophthalmic procedures and surgeries, including cataract, glaucoma, corneal, and retinal interventions (based on subspecialty)
- Manage acute and chronic eye diseases with evidence‑based treatment plans
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and ultrasound
- Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative patient care
- Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with Saudi healthcare regulations
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits
- Contribute to training and mentoring junior doctors, residents, and allied health staff
- Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and integrate new techniques into practice
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Ophthalmology
- Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience
- Proficiency in performing ophthalmic surgeries relevant to the candidate’s subspecialty
- Strong communication skills with fluency in Arabic (required)
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced clinical environment
- Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing
