Monitor day-to-day civil and infrastructure works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements
Inspect materials and workmanship to confirm compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
Carry out routine and hold-point inspections for excavation, backfilling, compaction, subgrade and subbase, pavement layers, concrete works, structural elements, utilities, manholes, chambers, and duct banks
Review and witness field and laboratory tests including soil compaction, concrete strength, asphalt testing, and material compliance tests
Verify that approved inspection and test plans, method statements, and checklists are implemented by the contractor
Prepare inspection requests, daily site reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports as required
Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, testing, and site communications
Support the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer with progress reporting and technical inputs
Review civil and infrastructure drawings and ensure site works align with the latest approved documents
Report site or design issues promptly and assist in resolving technical queries raised by the contractor
Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interfaces effectively
Monitor contractor compliance with quality control procedures and report deficiencies
Promote safe working practices and report unsafe conditions in coordination with site HSE teams
Support client, authority, and stakeholder site visits by providing accurate site information and records
Ensure roads and utilities works comply with local authority standards and approval requirementsCandidate Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering
Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities
Prior consultancy-side experience is required
Strong understanding of site supervision practices from the engineer's perspective
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Familiarity with UAE local authority standards for roads and utilities
Proficiency in preparing inspection reports, daily records, and maintaining organized documentation
Ability to work effectively in a site-based, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environmentAbout the Company
