Design and develop underground structures, including cut and cover tunnels and stations, utilizing industry-standard engineering software and methodologies
Conduct geotechnical investigations and structural analysis to ensure safety and feasibility of tunneling projects
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction and stakeholder review
Oversee site supervision and quality assurance during tunnel construction and underground structure installation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure project objectives are met
Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while maintaining quality standards
Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for underground construction challenges
Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in tunneling and underground construction engineering

Qualifications**Required Qualifications:**

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in tunneling, underground construction, or related civil engineering projects
Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, PLAXIS, or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, structural analysis, and underground construction methodologies
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain licensure

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Tunneling Engineering
8+ years of experience specifically in tunnel design and underground structure projects
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced design software
Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards (ASCE, OSHA, local jurisdictional requirements)
Project management certification (PMP) or equivalent
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder communications
Knowledge of emerging technologies and innovations in underground construction
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated risk assessment experience
