Create opportunity - For our people to excel.You’ll be responsible for:Leadership of the overall delivery of strategy, objectives & all projects for the CoE for PMO & Planning in the Consult business, in line with overall Mace strategy and priorities.Establishes, cultivates & grows the PMO & Planning CoE increasing capabilities, expertise & capacity.Ownership of the PMO & Planning CoE planning & budgeting, business operational resource requirements, ensures compliance with Mace Group reporting cycles and establishing KPIs & OKDs (Objectives & Key Deliverables), Strategic Workforce Plan, Service Excellence Plan as agreed with Consult COO & CEO & Sector Plans.Accountable for delivery of annual financial and operating targets for the Consult PMO & Planning CoE (including KPIs, OKDs & business outcomes), leads effective cost management, ensuring budgets are met and utilises data & analysis to drive continuous business improvements.Oversees & promotes effective relationships externally with all clients, suppliers, partners & internally across the CoE community & the wider business.Partners with Sector Leads to develop Sector business Plans for PMO & Planning target income, identifies new business growth opportunities & determines required capacity & growth requirements for resources for each Sector.Oversees the definition & implementation of the service excellence plan creating real distinctive value, ensuring it sets out the strategy for aligning, consolidating, innovating & delivering on the PMO & Planning service offer to ensure a consistent client experience on all projects.Champions innovation & provides thought leadership across the PMO & Planning CoE, business planning & service delivery advocating new ideas, ways of working & efficiencies.Leads the development of service propositions, specific tools & deployment models within the CoE & across other functional areas.Collaborates & partners with others across the business & identifies and promotes cross selling opportunities within the wider Mace business, driving & promoting business development, including building & developing productive relationships across the business & with clients.Accountable for ensuring required leadership and capability is implemented to deliver the business ambition with robust resource planning and a talent pipeline matching business demand, to drive the Mace purpose, priorities and 2026 strategy.Member of Consult business senior leadership team, inputs into & influences CoE portfolio in line with overall Consult business strategy, direction & objectives.Demonstrates ‘good organisation citizenship’ by working in an enterprise-wide way.Champions & drives the strategic implementation of enterprise-wide (& engine/business unit) strategic priorities, initiatives & transformational change, providing enterprise-wide leadership.Leads Consult PMO & Planning CoE by example, setting & working by high standards, leads, guides & provides direction to business unit, ensures a high performing CoE portfolio & teams that meet & exceed KPIsRepresents Mace & the Consult PMO & Planning CoE, manages & influences key C-Suite & senior external relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, supply chain and relevant government/regulatory bodies.Provides executive leadership and direction across the PMO & Planning CoE & across the business, supporting and mentoring senior leaders including succession planning, onboarding, training, and diversity planning.Promotes & champions the highest standards and adherence to Health, Safety & Wellbeing across portfolio.Provides thought leadership, industry expertise & expert counsel across the Consult PMO & Planning CoE portfolio to senior leadership teams including Consult Executive Board.You’ll need to have:Comprehensive expertise & knowledge of PMO & Planning & Construction Consultancy.Advanced expertise & knowledge of Construction Industry.Track record of achievement at C-Suite of senior leadership & transformational changeExperience of working with clients in the relevant sector/portfolioExcellent industry & sector connections / relationshipsYou’ll also have:Degree/Post Graduate (or equivalent).Demonstratable track record in a senior leadership/director role (or equivalent).Demonstratable track record in establishing & delivering PMO & Planning services to clients across a range of projects/programmes (or equivalent).Highly advanced level of commercial awareness, consulting & strategic acumen.Highly advanced understanding of wider management principles and techniquesMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
