Guildhall is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team for a large-scale high-speed rail infrastructure project in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all project disciplines, while working closely with joint venture partners, contractors, and project teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework for the project
  • Identify, assess, and monitor project risks across all disciplines, including technical, commercial, financial, and operational areas
  • Liaise with JV partners, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place
  • Conduct risk workshops, prepare risk registers, and update risk dashboards for senior management
  • Support decision-making by analyzing risk impacts on schedule, cost, and project objectives
  • Provide guidance on claims, contractual risks, and potential dispute mitigation
  • Ensure integration of risk management with project controls, planning, and execution processes
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in risk management or project controls for large infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience in joint venture (JV) project environments
  • Strong understanding of construction, civil, and rail project risks
  • Experience in the UAE or GCC region preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience in high-speed rail, metro, or large transportation infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, claims management, and project governance
  • Proficient in risk management and project controls tools
  • Ability to work effectively in multinational, complex project environments
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and proactive risk mitigation capabilities
