The family is seeking a full-time, experienced massage therapist to provide traditional Thai massage and complementary therapies for a private household based in Abu Dhabi. This role will deliver professional, consistent, and client-centered bodywork in a domestic setting, supporting the family’s wellbeing needs and maintaining a high standard of care, confidentiality and discretion.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Care & Treatment Delivery
- Provide full-length Thai massage sessions using traditional techniques, assisted stretches and pressure point work.
- Deliver additional therapies as required and agreed (e.g., oil massage, foot reflexology, aromatherapy), ensuring treatments are safe and tailored to individual needs.
- Assess clients’ physical condition and mobility, adapt techniques accordingly and modify sessions when required.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor during all treatments and demonstrate sensitivity to client preferences and cultural considerations.
- Coordinate and manage appointment schedules with the household’s main point of contact.
- Arrive punctually for all sessions and ensure sufficient time for preparation and aftercare guidance.
- Work flexibly to accommodate occasional early/late sessions or weekend appointments as required by the family.
- Set up and pack away massage equipment (mats, table, bolsters, towels, oils) and maintain a clean, comfortable environment for each session.
- Monitor and manage consumable supplies, informing the household when replenishment is required.
- Ensure all equipment is stored safely and kept in good working order.
- Adhere to professional hygiene practices and safe manual handling techniques.
- Follow client confidentiality protocols and maintain discretion at all times.
- Keep accurate, confidential treatment records and provide brief progress notes to the household contact when requested.
- Recognise contraindications to massage and liaise with healthcare professionals or family staff if medical concerns arise.
- Maintain up-to-date professional qualifications and licences relevant to Thai massage and any additional therapies provided.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to ensure techniques remain current and evidence based.
- Accredited certification in Thai massage from a recognized training provider.
- Minimum 2 years’ professional experience delivering as massage therapist.
- Strong practical knowledge of anatomy, contraindications and client safety.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Additional certifications (e.g., aromatherapy, sports massage, reflexology) are advantageous.
- Prior experience working within private households or providing in-home treatments.
- Basic first aid qualification.
