This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of major engineering projects, from concept development through execution and commissioning. It plays a critical role in ensuring project delivery aligns with company objectives, operational requirements, and shareholder expectations while maintaining strict HSE compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of multi-disciplinary oil and gas engineering projects
- Provide technical input into project concepts, design, and procurement strategies
- Manage project consultants, contractors, and internal engineering teams
- Oversee all phases of project execution including planning, design, construction, and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, engineering practices, and company procedures
- Control project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting activities
- Review and approve contracts, tenders, and procurement decisions
- Coordinate with internal departments including finance and commercial teams
- Monitor project performance, timelines, and deliverables
- Prepare and present progress reports and project updates to management
- Lead risk management and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Supervise multi-disciplinary teams and provide leadership across project activities
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to engineering standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 12 years of experience in oil and gas project engineering and execution
- At least 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills in complex project environments
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and engineering standards
- PMP certification preferred
