
Testing and Commissioning Specialist

- Develop comprehensive test strategies and detailed commissioning plans in alignment with contractual, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Define clear acceptance criteria and performance benchmarks for rolling stock and supporting systems.
- Lead and supervise the execution of static and dynamic tests, including functional, safety, and interface verification activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, and authorities to resolve issues that arise during testing and commissioning phases.
- Ensure rigorous documentation and traceability of all test and commissioning records, in line with relevant quality assurance frameworks.
- Monitor and verify compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and project-specific requirements.
- Liaise across disciplines—operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers—to facilitate the integration of assets and systems into the broader rail network.
- Support or lead troubleshooting and defect resolution, ensuring issues are comprehensively investigated and closed out prior to final acceptance.
- Lead or contribute to the technical handover process, ensuring all deliverables, evidentiary documents, and training materials are complete and accessible.
- Gather lessons learned and drive process improvements in testing and commissioning methodologies for future projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical, System Engineering, or any related field.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience of relevant experience in similar rail projects.
- Demonstrable experience in testing, commissioning, or systems integration within the railway, mass transit, or large-scale infrastructure sector.
- Deep understanding of rail system functionalities, standards, and performance requirements.
- Proficient in the development and execution of test procedures, using modern diagnostic and validation tools.
- Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Effective communicator and coordinator, comfortable operating in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
- Familiarity with safety assurance, RAMS processes, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Experience with digital tools for test management and reporting
- Preferably with UAE or GCC experience.
