Our Group employs approximately 2000 people from 41 different nationalities, which contributes to our multicultural and multi-national environment.Job PurposeThe primary purpose of a charge hand is to provide day-to-day supervision of team of technicians and helpers in civil works at the project site. Also responsible to ensure work is completed on time and deadlines are met with the higher quality standards.Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare Bill of Quantity for materials/machinery required to carry out work for the allocated area effectively.
  • Optimize the utilization of man-power efficiently; allocate fitters, electricians, helpers as per project work within the budget allocated.
  • Prepare daily reports to reflect work progress and submit to the supervisor.
  • Periodically maintain inventory of stock, equipment's and materials used.
  • Attend to snag points and respond accordingly to minimize risk.
  • Ensure safety regulations are duly followed by the workers.
  • Supervise daily performance of duties by the workers and ensure work performed by them is completed efficiently and on-time.
  • Conduct daily checking of toolbox stock and verify if all the equipment's are returned safely in proper working condition.
  • Control the usage of materials at work site.
  • Refer installation drawing and carryout the works at site with the team
Job Requirements
  • Min. HSE, 8 previous exp. in same role
  • Must have knowledge of reading basic installation drawing and cable schedules and using hand tools and machines required to perform the work effectively.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, direct and supervise work within budget requirements.
  • Must be physically fit to work under extreme weather conditions and at times perform manually work.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
  • Must be able to maintain a variety of detailed and accurate records.
  • Must be able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Special Knowledge: General to good knowledge; frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
  • Complexity of task: Moderately complex; provide solutions to a variety of moderate scope and complexity
  • Discretion/Latitude: Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures; work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Some latitude for independent judgment objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results
  • Impact of results: Limited impact; failure to achieve results of erroneous decisions or recommendations make cause delay in program and/or schedules and may result in allocation of additional resources
  • Planning Horizon: Weekly/monthly; contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific project.
