- To develop and implement a risk-based assurance plan and processes for QHSE towards ensuring compliance with HSSE policies, rules, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations while identifying good practices, non-conformance and opportunities for continual improvement.
- Support and implement corporate QHSE assurance plans and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives to improve the organization's overall performance.
- Facilitate QHSE assurance change management programs to drive adoption of new processes, systems, and behaviours.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of corporate initiatives and adjust as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders (both internal & external) to ensure the successful execution of QHSE assurance plan and related plans, initiatives, department communications and engagement.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Design, implement and maintain a best-in class corporate QHSE assurance system that includes processes and checklists for audits, inspections, site visits, and management reviews to ensure compliance with HSSE policies, rules, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations while identifying good practices, non-conformance and opportunities for continual improvement.
- Conduct QHSE audits and inspections in accordance with industry and Masdar standards and processes to enhance QHSE performance, reduce risks, and drive operational excellence.
- Develop QHSE assurance training programs to enhance the knowledge and QHSE skills within Masdar. This includes identifying training needs, creating relevant content, and delivering effective training sessions to promote continuous improvement.
- Liaise with Masdar corporate Interna Audit (IA) to understand IA plans and align QHSE assurance strategies and plans to maximize synergies and avoid overlaps.
- Design, implement and maintain a best-in class contractor HSE management process that includes contract HSSE requirements, evaluation checklists, contract HSSE exhibits, onboarding, monitoring and assurance plans, related HSE KPIs etc. to drive safety performance improvement.
- Participate or lead incident investigations as needed.
- Review incident investigation reports and drive improvements by engaging HSE teams and management.
- Analyse safety performance and incident trends to review how proactive assurance processes can be improved to prevent incidents form occurring.
- Identify and implement HSE continuous improvement opportunities by embedding learnings into systems, policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Risk or QHSE, or related field
- NEBOSH or similar certifications
- ISO-14001, ISO-45001 certified auditor
- 6-8 years of experience in corporate QHSE, strategy development, transformational change management, performance, or related fields in large multi-national companies or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills leading to a consultative approach within a corporate / multifunctional environment
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Strong business process management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change within an organization.
- Experience in a management consulting or corporate strategy role is preferred.
- Ability to challenge ideas and norms with thoughtful arguments.
