- Assist the Controller in overseeing and performing R2R activities, including but not limited to general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Controller to manage B2P processes and oversee invoice processing and payment processing.
- Working with the Controller, implement and maintain accounting systems, procedures, accounting policies and internal controls across the region, recommending and directing improvements as necessary.
- Preparation of journal entries for period-end accounting close and maintain supporting documentation.
- Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of statutory reporting
- Works in collaboration with Accenture and global process team ensuring accuracy of trail balance for MEA legal entities.
- Support O2C processes by assisting with invoice posting, payment application and AR GL reconciliations.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and timely completion of audit deliverables.
- Work with the controller to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax-related tasks, VAT filings, and sample providing.
- Assist in preparing and analysing financial statements, management reports, and other financial information as required.
- Contribute to developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Stay updated with accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Provide support to other finance-related tasks and special projects as assigned by the Controller.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, communicate progress, develop a plan and execute effectively.
- Provides assistance to timely and accurately address financial questions or concerns.
- Assist with process improvement in day-to-day operations and department workflow optimization.
- Assisted in the conversion of US GAAP financial statements to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Assisted with various processes and collaborated with key stakeholders, including the GPO and service providers, to ensure seamless collaboration and achieve successful outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred but not required.
- 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with exposure to R2R, B2P, O2C, Audit, and Tax functions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, SAP, Blackline and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
