The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client management, project management, and a deep understanding of digital concepts within the built environment. As a Principal Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading projects, managing client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that drive business growth and success. Your new role, what's involved?

Manage the design and implementation of smart building solutions, leveraging a wide variety of technologies to enhance building efficiency and functionality.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand specific requirements and tailor smart building designs to meet their needs.
Integrate core systems such as lighting, security cameras, alarms, sensors, and control systems to create a cohesive and intelligent building environment.
Utilize Internet of Things (IoT) devices including sensors, actuators, microchips, and software to collect data and improve building operations.
Ensure seamless integration of smart building technologies with existing building systems, optimizing performance and functionality.
Drive innovation in smart building design by staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the field.
Provide expertise and guidance on the selection and implementation of smart building technologies to achieve desired outcomes.
Lead end-to-end project management efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
Work closely with internal and external teams to set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure seamless project execution.
Collaborate across the business to leverage WSP's well-established engineering capabilities and drive innovation across projects.
Identify and pursue business development opportunities within the smart building sector.
Present smart building solutions to clients, highlighting the benefits and value proposition.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through effective communication and proactive engagement.
Utilize expertise in smart building design to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of clients.
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and develop customized smart building proposals.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Bachelor's degree in Digital Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in digital design, with at least 3 years of specialized experience in Smart Design.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe products, with a keen eye for design.
Excellent project management and technical delivery skills, with a drive for excellence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and cultures.
Innovative and forward-thinking mindset, with a passion for driving growth and unlocking opportunities for clients.
Proven track record of managing complex projects at scale and delivering high-quality outputs.
Ability to work with agility and adapt to changing client needs.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with a desire to contribute to the growth and development of the team.
Experience in business development for smart building design, with a proven track record of driving sales and meeting revenue targets
