The Consultant Pediatric Anesthesiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive anesthesia services for infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring patient safety, optimal perioperative care, and effective pain management.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver anesthesia care for pediatric patients undergoing elective and emergency procedures
- Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient condition and surgical requirements
- Monitor and manage patients throughout perioperative and recovery phases
- Participate in pediatric emergency response and critical care support teams
- Supervise and mentor junior anesthetists, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to teaching, simulation training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and healthcare regulations
- Engage in research and continuing medical education activities
- Medical degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
- Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from a recognized institution
- Board certification such as American Board, UK CCT, or equivalent
- Minimum 2-5 years of post-fellowship experience
- Experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care preferred
- Strong communication and crisis management skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
