  • Position: Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician

  • Provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.
  • Stabilise and manage life-threatening pediatric emergencies, including respiratory distress, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac events.
  • Perform pediatric emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, resuscitation, procedural sedation, and vascular access.
  • Lead and participate in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and resuscitation protocols.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, intensivists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate admission, referral, or discharge planning.
  • Provide family-centred care, including communication with parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
  • Ensure efficient triage and patient flow management within the pediatric emergency department.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools such as point-of-care testing, imaging, and laboratory investigations for rapid clinical decision-making.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, pediatric emergency care standards, and hospital protocols.
