It plays a critical role in modernizing legacy systems, improving operational efficiency, and enabling advanced capabilities such as analytics and automation.Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, design, and execution of core medical system transformation programs
- Define transformation roadmaps including phased migration and system decommissioning
- Oversee modernization of claims, policy administration, benefits, and provider management systems
- Drive transition from legacy platforms to API-driven and configurable digital solutions
- Collaborate with medical, finance, operations, actuarial, and compliance teams for alignment
- Manage vendors, system integrators, and technology partners ensuring delivery quality
- Establish governance frameworks, manage risks, and ensure timely program execution
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, and healthcare standards
- Support system migration, data conversion, and parallel run strategies
- Drive adoption through change management, training, and process redesign
- Monitor value realization metrics including efficiency, accuracy, and scalability improvements
- Enable future capabilities including AI-driven operations and advanced analytics
- 12+ years of experience in health insurance, healthcare technology, or payer operations
- Proven experience leading large-scale core system transformation programs
- Strong understanding of medical claims, benefits, provider networks, and utilization management
- Experience modernizing legacy systems to SaaS or cloud-based platforms
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-workstream programs
